Don't ever use the switch in the back until the fan is done cooling down the projector. But I leave my projector in standby mode when not in use.

After the cool down period which only takes around 20 seconds, I turn the power switch off on a multiple power surge outlet I have which also has the Tosh XA2 plugged in.

I then cover the Z5 up so dust cant permeate thru the exhasut vent side into the electronic housing.

We have some fairly heavy thunderstorms move thru the area occasionally and I dont like the intermittent power bumps & failures from the light company.

Better safe then sorry I always figure! :)

when i done for the night i shut down the projector but I never click off the porjector unless im taking in off the ceiling and moving it somewhere

I just leave it in stand-by mode. If I'm goin to be gone for a week or so then I'll
hit the switch in the back.
