Can someone please tell me how to set my HT1000 to get 1080P. I just bought the Tosh. XA2 and when I set it to 1080P I get something like out of range and yet it says that the Nec can accept a 1080P signal?? Thanks

Are you certain of that? I have the NEC HT1100 and it accepts 1080i. 1080p did not exist when either of those NEC units were made.

I too own a HT1000 but no 1080P source to pair with it yet. When the unit was sold, it was marketed as one of the the first units to accept 1080P. Projector Central also mentioned it as a new feature in PJs. It is too bad if it can't' do it.

Anyone else tried it?

The HT1000 has a "native" resolution of 1024x768. It MAY accept 1080p (assuming we got it to work), but it's gonna down scale that to 1024x768. It's not gonna look as good as you expect 1080p to look.

Another thing that I notice with the HT1000 when I feed 1080i from my DVD player or computer, it accepts it as 540p. Why is that? I know that 1080i is 540 lines at a time but just found that weird. If you go to Help and then Info you will see the info on the source resolution.

Do all High Def players have the option to reduce the resolution to 1080i from 1080p?
