Hi all. i have decided to buy my parents a 50" plasma for there anniversary. Which is real soon. I noticed the Vizio P50hdtv10A on sale at a "city" store. So my parents have a standard def. Satellite receiver, which is mainly all they ever watch besides the occasional DVD. So anyone who has knowledge about this TV or owns one...is this a good buy? How does it perform with standard def? Any usefull input on this matter will be much appreciated! Thanks for all the help on such short notice :rolleyes:

Unless you're looking for about the cheapest plasma you can get for your money, i still think the Panasonic gives the best bang for the buck even though it's a little more than the Vizios. Buy your parents a known brand name that they've known and probably trusted over the years.

well, i opted for the vizio. The Panny didn't look $300 better than the Vizio to me in the store, and they have the same specs. i hope it works out ok :)
