I've read many posts here about long wait times for projector rebates and assume this would be the case for the Z5 I bought last month. I was really surprised how fast my rebate check got to me. I sent out the rebate form on May 4 and had a check in my hand on May 22.

Want to share this experience with the community just to say that rebate checks don't have to come 4-6 months after mailing for it.

Wow, that is fast.

My IN72 rebate form was mailed to the US from Canada and received by Infocus on April 27. Checked my status this morning and it was mailed out yesterday.

It will likely be a month and a half when all is said and done but that's not bad for Infocus (from what I am told).

Man, I wish Panasonic had that kind of turnaround. I sent my rebate to them on Feb 26 and according to their rebate site, they entered it into their system on April 17th. Here we are on June 2nd, and I still don't have a rebate check. At this pace, I'll be getting my rebate just in time to spend it on a new lamp.

edit: Just got my Panny rebate check in the mail today. Woo-hoo! Now if Toshiba would just hurry up and get me my 5 free HD-DVDs. :)

I got my Panasonic rebate check on Saturday (June 2). I sent it right around May 1st, so just about a month.

Where did you buy the projector. I wonder if that has any bearing on the turn around time for the rebate check?

Well, mine took 6 weeks from the date it was entered. Your mileage may vary. ;)

I purchased from VA but I don't think it matters. There was nothing special on the rebate form that showed the seller from what I remember.
