I've been in the trade for a long time, but I've never seen this excellent idea. A -Clock Receptacle- or for us, a flat panel TV receptacle! For $6 at Home Depot I just had to buy this Leviton clock receptacle for behind my future kitchen LCD.

Now I've wired plenty of receptacles in my time and shaping wires cleaning and neatly into tight boxes are second nature to me, but this recessed receptacle takes up almost every inch of space inside of a gem box, this can't be good for box fill rules :p

Anyways, what do you guys do when installing a clock receptacle into an old work box? Use a 2 gang with a single gang plate? Use an extra deep box? Just jam it in there?

I'm very interested in your experiences with this great new invention! (I know, it's probably older than me, I'm just oblivious to the world ;) ).

I used one of these on the roof of my HT to help indent the plug into the roof. Really nice way to help hide the plug.

It was a medium sized box...wires fit in without any jamming...lots of room...
