Anyone know how to shoot something small and close with Canon HV20 HD? I know you probably can achieve some effect like this with other lenses, but I was wondering if the Cam has a built in Macro function. Thanks.

Yes, it has a very good macro function.
OK? Can you provide some instructions how to get there? When I am zooming in a close up to a flower, it becomes blurry. How to enable Macro besides buying an external lens? Thanks again.

To use macro, do NOT zoom in on the object. Rather, move the camera as close as you can to the object- within a few inches, and zoom OUT all the way.
Diggadonkey,
Thanks for the reply. I have tried to make sense out of what you are saying... but, First, don't zoom in, and bring HV20 close in range (couple inches) then Zoom out? If you don't zoom in, how do you zoom all the way out? I think by bringing the Camcorder close to range, it auto adjust the focus already, may be that is enough Macro for me?
Thanks again.

Perry- you're right, if you don't zoom in, you can't zoom out. I'm saying that you should simply be zoomed out all the way in order to utilize the macro. If you move the camera super close to an object while it's still zoomed in, it will not be able to get a focus. And even though you are zoomed out, you'll get a great macro shot.
I hope that helped.

You are right. Thanks again for your help.
