I have been reading up on these 2 TV a lot and am sure I want to go with LED DLP (seems to be the best value correct me if am wrong)

But I am not sure if I should save some money and go with last years model HLS-5679W or spend a little more about 400 on the T5687S



I have read that the contrast is an issue with the HLS-5679W but is it something that is obvious or is it something I need to look for? Do you guys think that is a deal breaker?


As for the HL-T5687S it seems to have fixed that issue with the 10,000:1 ratio vs. 4,000:1 ratio. Does that alone make it worth the extra cash, or does it also have other major improvements

hmmm.. more problems I just realized the entertainment center I bought has a stand that is 28inches high...

I think that may be a problem.. with viewing angles

could no longer wait, went with plasma to be on the safe side
