I've been pondering this for a few weeks now not knowing how to wholly resolve the matter on a budget.
I want to connect my HD cablebox, toshiba HD-E1 and PS3 to my HDTV and HD Projector all via HDMI if possible.
I know I can get a HDMI switch that will allow me to connect all 3 components to 1 HDMI socket (TV only has 1 HDMI and Projector only has 1 HDMI)
but after a switch I need to split the signal into 2.. 1 to the projector and 1 to the TV.
I've seen the Geffen solutions but here in the UK they are very expensive around £300-350 for the 4:2 version (around $500-600) so that is out of the question.

I thought I had solved the problem with a £20 splitter (not Powered) but the only snag to this was that the display that is not in use needs to be powered completely down and not left in standby, but both my tv and PJ only allow power down to standby unless you switch off at the mains.

so i am in a dilemma, any help would be greatly apreciated.
