Sounds like a great budget setup, not that much different than our first apartment home theater. Watch out though, this hobby can really suck you in! ;)

Looking forward to seeing more pics.

congrats on the apartment!

Good to see you are getting settled in nicely. You might want to look at either the Oppo DVD players or even a Tosh HD-A2 HD-DVD player. The tosh isn't much more <$100, and you get 5 free HDDVDs. Just a thought.

I also recommend the HD-A2. But great set up.

Sorry it's been so long, but work 70+ hour weeks lol.... just hope it pays off in the near future being that i have a rotel and crestron taste with a denon and philips budget hahaha

My system seems to be camera shy, no matter what i do with lights its hard to see lol!

yeah it's a rather nice budget setup..... a little disapointed on the RC9800 since it wont turn the tv off if i switch for a video source to just a audio source..... but it wont turn the tv on if i start with a just audio command..... its a lack of discreate codes.......

I've been sucked in for years just havent had the room :-P......

next step is a new DVD player....... dont need hdmi but i'd like it to upconvert to 720p since thats what my monitor can handle...........

Then i think new rears, maybe paridigm atoms....or maybe some nice bipoles.....

one step at a time!
