All I could find out was that KDS-R60XBR2 included an extra bulb, silver color and elephant ear speakers.

Iam trying to decide between the two.

XBR2 has better video processing for SD sources, 180 watt vs 120 watt bulb, very limited pip vs no pip on A2020, 3 HDMI vs 2 HDMI inputs.

I suspect but cannot confirm that the XBR2 has a lower gain screen and hence less silk screen effect, which is why the higher wattage bulb is necessary. The max brightness on the two sets is about the same even though the XBR2 has a higher wattage bulb, which leads me to think this is a possibility. I've also observed that the XBR2 seems to have less SSE, though with a little adjustment the A2020 is not bad at all in this respect.

Fed HD sources pq is virtually the same on the two models, the only advantage for the XBR2 is going to be with incoming SD, and it's not huge.

You think this is confusing, check out the XBR5. "Guidetohometheater.com reviewed the XBR2 several months ago and said it blew away the 2000. Best PQ ever seen blah blah blah. Many reasons, too many to remember but the review should still ba available.
