my den is in a corner of my one level house. house is on a slab. attic access. problem is... the room has a trey ceiling, and the tv wall with front channels is beneath the slope of the roof. obviously the space to drill holes in the attic to drop wires is VERY tight. any idea how i can drop some wires in this space without creating excess holes in the sheetrock?
thanks for the input!

hmmmm.. can you get by without creating holes......NOPE!
Make that a firm .......maybe?
I have a similar setup. But I was able to run smurf tube before the insulation and sheetrock and now I'm (hopefully) futureproof.
At the top of the wall under the sloped part of the ceiling is a double top plate. You would have to drill either up or down through that. To go down, you need drill at a resonable right angle with your drill bit and that ain't gonna happen from the attic. If you can open the wall just under the top plate, you can then drill through, but now have the problem of fishing the wire and most likely through insulation in the sloped area. Then you have to patch the wall (hows your wall-patching skills?)
If you can't (or significant other won't sanction wholesale destruction), look into running the wire along the wall but under/behind the baseboard. There's usually a small space between the baseboard and the carpet tack strip. If there's not enough room, take off the base molding (carefully!!!), cut out some drywall (an inch maybe) run the wires and then replace the base molding.
If you care to post more details (what connections, from where to where, distances etc) maybe others will jump in to help.
Good Luck,
Chuck

Does it look anything like this?:

I had a similar problem running my speakers because the attic in that area was too small to work in. I ended up cutting a 2"X2" access at the floor level, running all of my speaker cables up to the correct level and out again.
