Any idea what the BioWare PS3 project is about? I'm assuming it's an RPG since they're the kings of RPGs. I can't remember offhand any info on this. I'm a huge BioWare fan so I'd love to know. :)

This is all we know:

Bioware are working on PS3 - Confirmed by Microsoft!

The rumours have been getting louder that respected PC/Xbox game developer, Bioware, is working on a Playstation 3 game. Strongest hints yet were most recently in the official Playstation Magazine UK, and also on a forum, a website developer who claims to be part of the team building the website for the game. Now, Microsoft's head of game studios Shane Kim confirmed in an interview with www.1up.com said that Bioware is working on the Playstation 3. Kim had expressed an interest in acquiring Bioware, however they are a fiercely independent company.

"BioWare's bosses, Doctors Ray Muzkya and Greg Zeschuk told 1UP that they were working on all next-gen platforms."

What could the game be? The Bioware website list two games in development. They are an MMO, and a 'next-gen' game, possibly Star Wars KOTOR III. Microsoft previously secured the exclusive on KOTOR I&II, however this excluded them from the 5-6x bigger PS2 market and profits.

Shane Kim also reveals that they will not be releasing AAA titles for the Xbox 360 like Halo 3 or Project Gotham 4 around the October launch window because they do not want to detract attention from the GTA IV launch. Microsoft and Sony are obviously competing to sell most units of the game for their respective console. With the possibility that the winner gets the next GTA as an exclusive.

As for Diablo 3 on the PS3, it's in the proper spot as a rumor:

I'm getting a PS3 this weekend, and nice list! However, it would be a LOT more useful for newcomers such as myself if there was another list that showed only currently released titles. Added to the rumor section a game called Biolith Rebellion by Sony. I know it's real but I'm not 100% positive yet if it is for the PS3 or perhaps the PSP (I think it'll be a PS3 game).

I've separated out the non-U.S. games so that people can zero in on the titles released in America and those they can import (Euro and Japan exclusive games work perfectly on U.S. PS3s).

Added a game called 'Nine to Five' to the rumor section:

Don't let the nine-to-five eat you alive: Fight back in this interactive sitcom in which you are the star. Kiss the boss's butt to avoid the chopping block. Pretend to laugh at the mailroom flunky's bad jokes. Make a move on a dreamy colleague. Every workday is a new adventure. With a nod to Dilbert and The Office, Nine-to-Five delivers top-shelf humor, outrageous storylines, and hilarious gameplay.
Features
-1. 4 over-the-top episodes introduce you to MegaCorp, a misanthropic multinational corporation
-1. Each episode is approximately 3 hours with sitcom storylines and cliffhangers
-1. Cast of 25 unique and memorable characters
-1. Multiple tactics to get ahead: Chat, cajole, flirt, coerce, and lie
-1. Action packed mini-games like full contact races
-1. Goal-oriented gameplay
-1. Fully customizable player character
-1. Dialogue written and performed by veterans of Comedy Central, Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, Chappelle's Show, Conan O'Brien, etc.
-1. HD and surround sound
Each episode is purchased separately online via the PLAYSTATION Store

It seems that Sony is working with Quantic Dream on a PS3 exclusive (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6173508.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;0) besides Heavy Rain.

The developer of The Indigo Prophecy and Omikron: The Nomad Soul teams up with Sony to work on next-gen title.
By Emma Boyes, GameSpot UK
Posted Jul 3, 2007 10:00 am PT

French developer Quantic Dream is working on a top-secret PlayStation 3-exclusive title, the company has revealed. Other than that, the company and collaborator Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios aren't saying much.

To date, the 10-year-old developer has released two games. The Nomad Soul (Omikron in the US) was the company's first title, published by Eidos Interactive and set in the futuristic city of Omikron. The ambitious game put players in control of a protagonist who could switch bodies at will to gain access to certain areas and avoid capture. David Bowie had a virtual character in the game, and music from his album Hours was featured in the soundtrack. It starts with a detective investigating a serial killer, but he quickly realises that something even more sinister is at work.

In 2005, Fahrenheit (The Indigo Prophecy in the US) became Quantic Dream's second release. The adventure game starred a brilliant young police detective investigating a series of brutal murders with her partner. Meanwhile, a third character investigates his growing suspicion that he is in fact the murderer.

The developer's founder, president, and CEO, David Cage, commented on the new title, "We always believed that 'next generation' meant more meaningful content based on players' emotional involvement. To us, PS3 is the only platform that can truly deliver on this promise."

Previously, the company had been confirmed as developing Omikron 2 for next-gen consoles. It also has been working on another next-gen title, which was shown at Sony's Electronic Entertainment Expo booth last year under the name Heavy Rain.

Also, EGM magazine and the most recent 1up podcast have stated that Epic is working on a PS3 exclusive title. The Quantic Dream game is going on the main list while the Epic game will go to the rumor list.

Sony's snatched it up and is giving it the 1080P/60fps treatment.

There are so many titles that just aren't mentioned in the western press. This picture highly suggests that Twisted Metal is coming to the PS3 (yay!), so it is going into the rumor section:

I moved DW6 to the console exclusive list since it was officially announced only for the PS3. If it changes and goes to the X360 as well, I'll update then.

Silent Hill was removed from the list of PS3 'exclusive possibilities'.

Expect it to come out to the Xbox 360 as well for the US. Gundam Musou was PS3 only in Japan, but is multiplatform in the US (see Dynasty Warriors: Gundam).

I'd love it to be a new Super Monkey Ball and no I don't want to have to use the sixaxis motion, an option for it is fine but I want traditional analog stick control if it does come.

According to recent news, the Twisted Metal pic is from an ad agency for something else. Still, with David Jaffe making some kind of documentary on the TM franchise, a sequel is likely IMHO. It'll stay in the rumor section.

Also, 3 Cellius projects? http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=138717

Cellius is the Sony/Namco-Bandai joint company.

Brave Arms - http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/3945/famitsu1iz1.jpg
Chain Limit - http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8167/famitsu2av8.jpg
Second Season 1 - http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/2198/famitsu3ef5.jpg

Sony and Namco Bandai joined together to form Cellius dubbed as Cellius Inc. The joint-venture will be focusing on developing games which can maximize the capabilities of the PS3's Cell Processor. This new company is headed by Isao Nakamura (father of Ridge Racer).

Here are some scans of new PS3 games that have been announced from the Cellius project - Brave Arms, Chain Limit, and Second Season 01. Here's what is known so far.

Brave Arms - What appears to be a third-person action game in the vein of Ninja Gaiden. One man takes on an oppressive regime in revolt.
Click here for scans: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/3945/famitsu1iz1.jpg

Chain Limit - A James Bond/Jack Bauer style, spy adventure type of game.
Click here for scans: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8167/famitsu2av8.jpg

Second Season 01 - A first person, drama/sci-fi action title.
Click here for scans: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/2198/famitsu3ef5.jpg

Apparently, these three games represent different narrative genres - one is action, the other survival, the other is investigative. All of them are QTE (Quick Time Event) fests wherein all its gameplay will involve selecting the available targets on screen and pressing buttons to do different actions to change how the scenes play out.

Unknown if it's going to come stateside.

Thanks for the info ppshooky. A few things:

- Monster Madness is also for the X360 according to your link:

NOTE: This PS3 version was expected to be a project for the developer, but the game has so far only been announced for PC and Xbox 360.
- I read somewhere that Coded Arms Assault was canceled by Konami. I'll try to find out where.

- Zipper Interactive's project is SOCOM 4 (I have it listed). I read somewhere from the team that they were working on it when fans questioned if the upcoming download was the true sequel.

- I have Big Time revenge already on the possibility list.

- The Western from Rockstar is based on ther E3 2005 teaser footage. a few of the games at that time went multi-plat (DMC4, Fight Night R3, etc.), so I'll keep in on the possibility list. until I hear one way or another.

I'll update with the rest of your links, along with L.A. Noire based on Take-2's release schedule (http://ir.take2games.com/ReleaseDetail.cfm?ReleaseID=258238) that came out today.

New exclusive Ferrari Challenge added to the first post:

System 3 have confirmed that they will lift the lid on Ferrari Challenge next week in Leipzig, at Games Convention 2007, delivering the first playable version of the forthcoming licensed racer.

The publisher is promising a press conference for next Thursday at which Ferrari Challenge will be shown running on PS3, Wii and DS. The PS3 edition of the game is being as hyped as one of the most technically advanced releases on the next-gen system to date, while the Wii version is said to offer a super-realistic take on motion-sensing control.

The new racing title is due out on multiple platforms come November 23rd. More from us as we get it.

As far as we know, there is no X360 version planned so it's added to the PS3 exclusive section. Before someone brings it up, yes I consider it an exclusive release for PS3 despite it coming out for the Wii. Besides the limited info that each will have its own focus, I will always consider the Wii as a different type of console with its own category much like the PC is in its own category (despite sharing X360's "exclusives" like Gears of War), and the DS and PSP are in their own category. This isn't a judgment on which is more "fun", but just that they shouldn't ever be directly compared to each other.

looks like Haze is in fact a PS3 exclusive. (http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6177964.html)

Ubisoft has told GameSpot that First Radical's sci-fi first-person shooter Haze is now being planned solely for Sony's PlayStation 3 platform.

Originally, Haze was slated as a multiplatform release for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 in spring, but back in May Ubisoft announced that the PS3 had become the "lead platform" for the title, which would be released in November on the PS3-only, although "no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced."

Today, Ubisoft said that currently no other versions in development, and although it was still leaving the door open in the future for "new partnerships," currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, "The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."

The Web sites of Free Radical, the Official Haze site, and Ubisoft site, all now only list the PS3 version of the game.

New PS3 exclusive announced at the official blog (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2007/10/16/coming-soon-exclusively-to-the-ps3-rat-race/).... Rat Race:

Hey people! My name is Greg Easley and I’m one of the founders of Super-Ego Games, a development studio with a different take on making games. We’re finally announcing our new title and labor of love, Rat Race. You’ll read more about this in the game press soon, but I wanted to tell you about it here first.

Rat Race is a PS3-exclusive comedy/adventure game – yeah, another one of those! – that will be available as individual episodes on PSN beginning this winter. Rat Race has been written and voiced by some really funny people with credits on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, My Name Is Earl, Saturday Night Live, South Park, Flight of the Conchords, Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, Comedy Central, and so on. Our team includes some of the best stand-up comics in New York City, where half of our studio is based (the other half is in San Francisco).

Rat Race is set in an office - an extremely dysfunctional one. The company is called BiggCo, and the people who work there make the Enron guys look like Nobel Prize laureates. Your job is simply to make it through the day as bombs go off all around you. As the clock ticks toward quitting time, you’ll encounter a rogues gallery including: Joy Chung, an impossible, and impossibly hot, PR exec; Chip Bratsby III, a pompous jerk whose career focus is getting you fired; and Dr. Ron Durfman, a research scientist who may or may not be intimate with his lab monkey.

Our goal is to give you the feeling of “playing” inside an episode of your favorite TV show. Sometimes we describe Rat Race as an interactive sitcom, but that doesn’t do it justice. There’s more to the experience than funny dialogue. Along the way you’ll sneak, sprint, solve puzzles, eavesdrop, steal, and even “neutralize” that lab monkey.

new MMO from NCSoft, to be released on PC and PS3 according to this (http://www.n4g.com/News-90141.aspx)

MMO... 'Massive Multi-player Online'. Usually RPG are the nex three letters.

Nice find! I'm a huge fan of Guild Wars, so I know that NCSoft puts out quality stuff. GW2 is announced for 2009 (PC only, but PS3 is speculated) so it seems that there is at least one other NCSoft title left to be revealed. Updating the first post now with "Aion: Tower of Eternity".

Two new PixelJunk games have been announced (http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2007/09/spotlight_pixeljunk_racers_q-g.php), both unnamed and both due out this year (not much time left!). I'll add them to the list:

So, you may have spotted that Q-Games' indie title PixelJunk Racers, which appears to be something along the lines of slot-car racing for the 21st century (woo!), debuts on the PlayStation Network today. But something you may not have spotted (and I just did, thanks to Brandon Boyer!) is that there are teaser images for their next two downloadable PlayStation 3 games in the series on the Pixeljunk.jp website.

The site acts a bit strangely, and sometimes doesn't show the teaser images when you click on them (maybe it's still loading?), so I thought it would be handy to extract and label them for you, dear GSW readers:

http://www.gamesetwatch.com/pixeljunk2s.jpg
Teaser for the second PixelJunk game - apparently somewhat Tower Defense-ish?.

http://www.gamesetwatch.com/pixeljunk3s.jpg
The third PixelJunk game has a plant leaf as the icon - what's going on here?

Going back to PixelJunk Racers itself briefly, there's a good intro to both PixelJunk and Q-Games on the official PlayStation.Blog, written by company co-founder Dylan Cuthbert, who explains himself handily: "I decided I wanted to try and return to 2D games and use this HD clarity and resolution to re-energize the classic game play of my youth, not just Nintendo-style 2D games, but ZX Spectrum and Commodore-64 style games which were much more quirky. "
When I was at Tokyo Game Show last year, I also sat down with Cuthbert and his co-workers, discussing the small Kyoto-based indie developer's history and attitude (not to be confused with Mizuguchi's Q Entertainment, btw!) - Q-Games has previously shipped "...Starfox Command for Nintendo's DS handheld and Game Boy Advance title Digidrive, part of Nintendo's unique 'Bit Generations' retro-styled original game series", and Cuthbert was one of the creators of the original SNES Starfox in association with Nintendo while working at Argonaut Software in the UK.

Lastly, I wanted to mention that Dylan and the Q-Games folks have entered the self-funded PixelJunk Racers into the Independent Games Festival this year, making it the first-ever PSN game to enter. This also means that there will be some fierce PSN vs. XBLA vs. PC indie competition in this year's contest (not that target platform really matters, but hey, it makes everything a bit more exciting, right?) More on the full IGF entry list after the October 1st deadline...

If true, that will take the place of Star Ocean 4, which I've removed from the list since the game is now stated to be coming out for both next-gen consoles (as a trilogy... SO4:1, :2, and :3).

Also, Unreal Tournament 3 is now out so it's been moved to the correct section until the other console version is released.

Metal Gear Online is being integrated into the MGS4 release instead of being sold seperately, so I removed MGO from the list. This is according to the next issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine (http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=2233):

Since the announcement of Metal Gear Online, it’s been left unclear whether or not it would be released as a standalone title or bundled together with Metal Gear Solid 4. It’s only commonsense that the two should be paired together, but early talk didn’t seem to suggest that they would be. Well, the January ‘08 issue of the new PlayStation: The Official Magazine (formerly PSM) was just dropped off in my mailbox headlined on the cover with exclusive confirmation that MGS4 and MGO are in fact being integrated into one value-packed MGS experience for the PS3. Hurray!

A couple of new titles to mention...

Amphibian Man (http://www.kdvgames.com/eng/news/detail_view.php?id=1898&block=25) is only announced on consoles for the PS3:

Today KDV Games Company announces a new Action RPG title “Amphibian Man”, based on a popular sci-fi novel by Alexander Belyaev.

In the XXI century science has made a breakthrough that has changed humanity forever. Mankind was finally able to function under the water without any kind of equipment. Mankind rushed to explore the underwater universe. But the discovery has also escalated old conflicts and problems. Things are coming to a crisis: the civilization is about to split and global war is about to break out.

Throughout the game the main character and his team will explore the unique and contradictive world of the future, solving mysteries of new civilizations. Colossal conspiracy has bound maverick scientists and their dangerous research, governments and even members of a dark religious cult, and only our hero is able to burst it.

The game is being developed on the updated VistaGame Engine technology (an in-house development of the KDV games studio) for PC and PS3 platforms. Visually the game combines hi-tech\futuristic\cyberpunk styles.

Pirates of the Burning Sea (http://www.burningsea.com/page/explore/gameplay/overview) is a new MMORPG from Sony Online Entertainment coming to PCs that *may* also be on the PS3.

I also moved Resistance: FoM2 up from the rumor section since the latest EGM issue confirms that it is due out in 2008.

New rumor... Tales of Vesperia from Namco may be a PS3 exclusive according to The Magic Box (http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm):

- Bandai Namco announced Tales of Vesperia at Jump Festa 2008, the latest Tales RPG, the game features character designs from Kosuke Fujishima, the game will have celshaded graphics; animation will be handled by Production I.G., the game is scheduled for a 2008 release in Japan. No platform has been announced, but one assumes the game is for PS3 because Bandai Namco's release schedule has an unnamed new RPG listed for PS3.

For an introductory Blu-ray player, I purchased an 80GB PS3 (with its 15 free BD movies and game) and have been very satisfied with it as a Blu-ray player and the two games that we have are great BUT -- when I go into game stores and look for either new or used games, I find many times more XBox games than PS3 and also never seem to locate PS3 games on sale -- they seem to all have MAP pricing.

Why are there relatively so few PS3 games and why are they priced the same everywhere?

(have pity on me and my ignorance -- I am an old retired geek who decided to take advantage of the gaming side of the PS3 that I bought for my teenager for her games and my BD movies:eek:

And in regard to the exclusive titles for th PS3 platform -- the question remains -- WHY so few??? (admittedly, the rest was OT but I was hoping some kind soul would answer as to why the standard -- MAP -- pricing by Sony and the resulting lack of competition for sales).

A new generation means more complex games that take bigger budgets, more people and more time to produce than ever before. There are almost 135 known exclusives (out or in production) and you already have 44 to choose from as of today, which is fine for a machine that just barely had its first birthday.

Combined with the multi-platform titles there are plenty of games to play, particularly for a self-described non-gamer. Sony's on a ten year platform plan and its only been one year so far... come back in 2015 to decide if they caught up to whatever the quota is.

I have no intention in getting into a pricing debate (or a debate about exclusives). They are what they are.

A new developer (http://www.psbeyond.com/news/Upcoming-studio-nDreams-announce-project-with-SCEE.216.html)with veteran experience in the industry called nDreams is working on an unnamed exclusive PS3 title:

If you've never heard of game development company "nDreams", you could be forgiven. It was formed in 2006 by former SCi/Eidos Creative Director Patrick O’Luanaigh, and is yet to release any sort of game. Today they have announced that they have signed an undisclosed deal with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

So why should you care? nDreams were recently featured as one of the ten new global studios to look out for in 2008 by Develop magazine. They heavily focus on innovation and pushing the boundaries, develop new approaches for storytelling, and work with advertisers in unprecedented ways. Any game developer with these goals are surely welcomed by the consumers, as well as the industry....

Disgaea 3 (http://ps3.ign.com/objects/950/950618.html)is definitely a PS3 game, but I may remove it from here since I don't know if it will be releases in the U.S.

Haze was being worked on for multi-platforms and then switched to PS3 exclusively later on, but I think the switch was because Haze didn't want to go against Halo 3 when it was on schedule. I still think it is a timed exclusive, but if they say it will not come to the X360 I'll edit the thread.

Yes, looking at the list the PS3 has the widest variety of old and new games coming to their system by far. Hopefully this keeps up.

Dark Mist descript:
Dark Mist is an action/shooter adventure that places players in the role of the warrior of light, Altemis, in a battle to stop the revival of the demon king. Altemis's standard attack is a light arrow, but she can also use a bomb to clear the darkness and deal heavy damage to foes. The SIXAXIS can be shaken to defeat enemies in Altemis's immediate surroundings. You also have access to special attacks such as the Split Star, Meteor Flare and Lightning Comet. These all have their own peculiar traits. The Split Star, for instance, has a short projectile distance but does damage over a large area.

The title of the thread clearly says console exclusives.... that knocks out the PSP and PC. Since the current generation of games is now PS3 and X360, I don't factor in the PS2, XBox, or GameCube as systems in the list. The Wii is excluded just because. ;)

Update... the Naruto project for the PS3 gets a name: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm.

Asian players are spreading the news of a secret title from SCEJ:

http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/nt/

Still 3 days left to reveal what exactly it is, but all bets are on the 3rd title of the survival horror Siren series.

Based in the sound effects many are also guessing this will be released in the western market.

I saw that video the other day, while it does look like just another fighting game, they were right about the line between game and anime being indistinguishable. The lighting in that is farking amazing.

The original Siren is getting a remake ala the Resident Evil remake for the GameCube. The new game will be called Siren: New Translation. A demo is hitting the Japanese PS Store this week and the game is set to come out July 24 in Japan. See the trailer here (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32980.html).

Star Ocean 4 from Square-Enix looks to be a PS3 exclusive (http://www.forever-fantasy.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1160&mode=&order=0&thold=0)according to this snippet interview in the Official XBox Magizine with one of Square-Enix' officials:

The Official Xbox Magazine, or OXM, has posted an exclusive interview with Infinite Undiscovery director, Hiroshi Ogawa. At the end of the interview, Ogawa was asked what tri-Ace game is his favorite:

"Us: Infinite Undiscovery aside – what tri-Ace game is your favorite? What RPGs, outside of tri-Ace’s, did you really like?

Ogawa: Star Ocean 4 [tri-Ace’s upcoming PS3 RPG] is my number one recommendation (laughs)."

Does OXM's editor know something we don't? I'd say wait before you start the party, consider this as a rumor until you hear otherwise from Square Enix.

I'll keep it in the rumor section until we know more, but sci-fi RPG fans should be pleased if it is true.

CORRECTIONS:

Haze, is already out, it is in the wrong section.

Unreal Tournament 3 is coming to 360, so it is not (or at least will not) be an exclusive.

Resistance 2 is titled wrong: It isn't "Resistance: Fall of Man 2" it is simply "Resistance 2" Insomniac Games chose a simplified title because of what the game is often called, and to avoid confusing multiple names for separate territories.

PS3 games are region free. (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/697/697656p1.html) You still can't play PS1/PS2 import games on your PS3 however, and Blu-ray movies are often region-locked as well.

I believe that, so long as the game or Blu-Ray movie is not region coded, you can play it on any system. The PS3 will automatically detect what region you're playing in and show the censored version, where appropriate (if implemented by the designers).

No modifications necessary. To my knowledge, there are not any games that are region coded. Same with Blu-Ray? Not sure on that one.

EDIT: Oops, looks like joeblow knew more than I did.

PS3 games:
Yes, You can import PS3 games from Japan and play it without a problem. I am currently doing this. My collection is about half US titles and half Japanese ones. Just keep in mind since it is an Asian version, most times you will only see Japanese as the sole language choice.

Blu-ray movies:
Yes and No. Region code does matter, but since Japan, US, HK and Taiwan are in the same region as Region A, I don't see a problem importing from those countries. As long as the imports is from region A, not region B or C you will be fine.

I have Flash Point in my collection, it is a HK title and plays like normal US disc on my US PS3.

PS2 games:
No, you can not play them on US PS3. I set up a modded PS2 just for those.

PS1 games:
I heard most times you can play them without a problem. Since I don't have anything on a PS1 Cd-Rom, I cannot test this for you.

I'm only leaving this rumor (http://www.pspsps.tv/2008/06/wow_announced_for_the_ps3_this.html) on the list until this weekend. If it isn't announced as the link says it might, down it goes...

World of Warcraft is rumored to be announced for the PS3 this Saturday at Blizzard's big media event:

WoW announced for the PS3 this Saturday?

Unless you've been living under a huge bloody rock, you'll be well aware that World of Warcraft developer, Blizzard, is promising big news for this weekends Worldwide Invitational. And the outside bet is, it could be WoW coming to the PS3.

An outside bet it is, but one that seems to fit. SOE president John Smedley has recently stated that the PS3 is the "perfect platform" for MMO titles, and MMO games don't come any bigger than the incredibly popular WoW.

Just imagine, if WoW heads to the PS3, that's pretty much it for the console war this generation. Microsoft can try and claim some comfort with the promised GTA IV downloadable content, but if the popularity of WoW sticks to a Sony console, then that's a guaranteed victory.

Its all speculation at the moment, with an announcement of Diablo 3 at the top of the list at the current moment. Let's just hope that Sony have pulled a fast one and firmly made the PS3 THE console to own.

I hear the Euros got a WoW music track in their PSN update today. Hmmm.....

D3 not announced for the PS3 so off the list it goes.

In its place on the rumor list.... Timesplitters 4 (http://www.psbeyond.com/news/First-Timesplitters-4-scans-shown.677.html):

The first Timesplitters 4 screens have been shown in the latest issue of UK based magazine PSW. This also confirms that the game will be coming to PlayStation 3 considering a PlayStation magazine has been given the exclusive shots, before these scan's it was unsure what consoles this game will be released on.

Breaking news:

Details about Sega's Yakuza 3 is revealed in a magazine interview today. The cities featured Yakuza 2 will be kept in the new title, but adding Onikawa as one of the new and main stages for the future adventure.

In case you are wondering why there is another Yakuza 3 coming out, despite there is already one taking place in early-edo Japan, the previous Yakuza title released in March is called "Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan!"("zan" can be seen as kanji form of "3"), which is now considered an "extra" (Gaiden) chapter of the series.

The real Yakuza 3 will have the same main character- Kazuma Kiryu from the previous titles. The story will pick up from where the 2nd one ended.

My sense is that Y3 will eventually come to the US after Y2, but Kenzan won't, because of the culture barrier and the amount of localization trouble. (some elements are just too Japanese for westerners to enjoy. Such as the hiragana-based card memory game)

BTW the Japanese community is spreading the rumor that the new Bandai Namco RPG will be a new title from the "Tales of" series, different from Tales of Vesperia - which was scheduled to be releases for Xbox360.
