Any of you SXRD folks with PS3 experience any kind of lag when playing games such as Tekken DR or FPS or other video games?

If possible, I was hoping it will be lag free like the CRTs.

I just can't stand playing Tekken DR competitively on LCDs such as Sammy and Sharp D62 series because of the lag.

Sorry about my mini-rant but I am looking forward to Sony's A3000 SXRD series so I was hoping you folks could share your experience about the lag issues.

Not on my 60" SXRD XBR2. I had lag on the XBR1 under some settings though before I got it replaced by Sony.

Set it on progressive and you shouldn't get lag. No need for game mode either.

No lag on my driving games on my 70" XBR2 with HDMI.
I play a lot of Formula 1 Championship Edition which requires very precise inputs & would have noticed if it had any lag at all.

No lag on my KDS-60A2000 without game mode. Using HDMI.

Same here. I think the Game Mode option is only available with SD inputs anyway.

Same here, too. No lag with either Xbox or PS3 over HDMI. We don't need no stinkin' game mode.

Yes, game mode is only for deinterlacing. With the SXRD you don't have to worry about that.

No problems with me either. Blu-Ray movies look pretty stunning too.

Ive never had lag on my XBR1, if I do, I'll switch to game mode, which I've never had to do.

Any of you guys that installed Yellow Dog Linux on it... were you able to output 1080i via the hdmi to the TV? It brings up a garbled screen for me but 720p works fine. This is on a XBR1.

Not on my 60" SXRD XBR2. I had lag on the XBR1 under some settings though before I got it replaced by Sony.

How did you get them to replace it with an XBR2? i called asking if they would fix the inane 1080p glitch with the inputs, they said they wouldnt/couldnt so i proposed they replace it with a model that does it right (XBR2) and i didnt really get far with that.

I guess either I got an awesome Sony rep on the phone or I have an awesome way with words. :)

It took three visits from their repair people though and about four months of problems. It was worth it though because the picture is fantastic (no lag in gaming).

well the cs reps i talk to are almost totally useless, they apoloigize alot but all it does is chew up about 20 minutes alone and does nothing for me. The worst part is that the last time i asked to speak to someone higher up all i got was someone even more blunt and smug about it, which i of course did not like (then again to get 1080p to work on the XBR1 as it was vaguely promised is not really feasibly possible either, it's just sad that that i have to hope they will screw up and have to replace it for some other reason)..
