Hiya,

The other day my HDMI stopped working. I have a 50' Accell cable running to my panasonic projector. I tried a short cable to another device to determine it was the cable and not my units.

I then looked into the HDMI cable connector and one pin looks like it is bent or out of place. This is the end that was hanging in my projector and badly. Many many reconnects when it fell out.

The problem I'm having is that this cable is built into my walls so just buying a new one is a pain in the butt.

Can connectors be replaced?

I bought the port saver a few days ago for future applications.

Connectors can not really be replaced because the wires going into the connector are terminated at a very precise length with a precise amount of twist. Hopefully the pin can still be repaired to work until you use a port saver.

I found a place to order a new connector, but when it arrived I thought it may be too much trouble to start figuring out which wire goes where then soldering. The cable was the accel cable that came with a wall with a little booster adapter.

I bought a 300 dollar monster cable just to try it out and it works wonderful without any booster. Going to buy the Monoprice cable and then return the monster cable since spending 300 on a cable seems nuts.
