I hope no one is sleeping on this title. I picked it up yesterday for $29.99. Talk about getting your money's worth. The new gameplay(ala TR:Legend), graphics, and remastered levels are amazing. Granted, it is PS2 technology, it still is amazing, nostalgic, and fun. The original Tomb Raider is in my top 10 games of all time and anyone who loved the original will love this.
P.S. Sorry if there was another thread on this, I missed it.

If the 360 version is anything like legend on the 360, you probably can expect it to have a poor framerate in 720p. I ended up playing legend in 480p, which was like playing a xbox 1 game. Hopefully they clean that up this time. I also read it will be available only through xbox live marketplace in 5 parts.
Did you guys who loved the first tomb raider really like Legend? I thought it wasn't even close to being as good as the original. It lacked that sense of awe and isolation that the first tomb raider nailed. Still too action oriented.

Picked it up the other day for $14.99 (after gamers gift card) - played a bit of it so far and find it to be very good. Aside from Legend, I could never get into the earlier titles (I believe there were about 5 prior to Legend?) but am really enjoying this one. It does have some very frustrating parts (needing to travel back and forth about 8 times to complete a puzzle, trying to line up the controls to do what you want and having it repeatedly "miss") but overall is very fun.
Graphics quality on the PS3 (upscaled to 1080) looks great in some levels.

man I really liked that first one.....I dont think legend is like the first one at all but i still liked it. The first one for sure is one of my top 10 games as well. I havent played it for a while but I remeber some of the levels being so huge and the game actually gave me the feeling of wanting to explore to see what else would be next, very few single player games have ever been that way for me.

I picked it up for my PS2. I think it's great. I never got far in Tomb raider but I always felt the controls hindered me. Here they still do but not by much at all. I do personally get lonely in the game considering every creature you come by you have to kill. as far as action oriented yeah there's times when all your doing is killing but the majority are puzzle rooms. And really the level design is top notch. It even tops Prince of persia in puzzle design IMO. This game has lesss available climbing tehcniques and still comes up with brilliant design choices that keep me guessing.Anyways for 30 bucks any adventure gamer should enjoy it.
BTW if you have widescreen and progressive on the screen horribly shrinks but does indeed look better.
