They're more spendy than amazonuk. I can get Prestige and Goblet of Fire for about $64.

I just watched this last night and the PQ is excellent! I know the BD version has gotten great grades for its transfer, and this one is obviously no exception. A great flick as well.

PQ is pretty good. Theres some really sharp shots and a few soft softs. Its not king kong quality but its pretty good 7.5/10, audio while the dialoug is quiet the effects sound awesome.

its a solid buy if you like the film.

I think the PQ and AQ are excellent. It's a solid recommendation for purchase. I hesitate to get into the "Tier" business...opinions for any given title are unbelievably chaotic, to the point of being frustrating.

If you like the movie and have a decent set-up...let's just say that you won't be disappointed with the presentation.

it'd be nice if a company in the US purchased a whole slug of these and sold them at normal prices (~20). $40 shipped is just too expensive :(.

If you've got Batman Begins, you'll already have a fair idea of how The Prestige looks, i.e. fairly soft and grain-free, with a muted colour palette. I guess Christopher Nolan likes 'em that way. A solid disc all the way, although mine will be heading to ebay shortly.

I would highly recommend this title... :) ...I might be a bit biased...I just love the movie and it's great to have it on HD DVD. I do not have a system that can be used to determine peak performance (i.e. 720p system)...I thought it looked great. Of course, I would have preferred a TrueHD soundtrack or at least 1.5Mbps DD+ like Universal uses.

Too bad it doesn't have a TrueHD track like Batman Begins though. The BD has uncompressed 24-bit PCM and sounds amazing.
