Just bought a ps3 however i have a problem in that it keeps switching/Flicking on hdmi 1080p .i have it hooked up to an onkyo 674 by means of a hdmi connection and the onkyo is connected to a panny ax100e again hdmi,I have not had problems with playing dvd(have not yet tried blu-ray) or c.duty 3 ,the problem occures during rr7 and connecting to the internet and when playing dirt all in the same portion/sections,what happens is the screen goes blue for a couple of seconds and it appears to have a problem with 1080p very frustrating !!.should i return it? or am i doing something wrong :( .?

have you tried connecting the ps3 directly to the tv? sounds like you may have handshake issues between your receiver and tv. try that first and report back.

Hi,yes tried that and no problem,but of course it is only running through the projector speakers,I am begining to think that it is a problem with the receiver,i am hoping that this can be confirmed by someone so that i can settle this problem :confused: .

try asking the question in the onkyo's owners thread in the receiver's section. quite possibly you may not have the ability to pass thru 1080p via hdmi directly to the tv from your rx'r. you might need to use optical out.
