I've been considering the new Lumagen processor for my Ruby. I have an HD-DVD player and an SDI modded dvd player from my CRT days. The RadianceXD does not list an SDI input but they mention an optional SDI to HDMI converter.

What is the retail for this box and does any other company make a similar item?

Is there a downside to the SDI to HDMI conversion as far as PQ?

Lumagen does not have their version yet. Key Digital makes one, Algolith makes one and there is also a Blackmagic HDLink out there that does the same.
