The product should be easier to use. genfuyung 06-12-07, 01:14 AM i can only get the regular dvd one. would that be ok to use to calibrate my hd dvd player? assasyn 06-12-07, 10:03 AM i can only get the regular dvd one. would that be ok to use to calibrate my hd dvd player? I don't think it would be accurate. You may get the colors right if you are using component. ocd_guy 06-12-07, 10:30 AM i can only get the regular dvd one. would that be ok to use to calibrate my hd dvd player? Calibration is geared more toward tweaking your display device. If you don't mind using a standard DVD, try Sound & Vision Home Theater Tune Up DVD. I used this disc for years before I started with DVE. Very easy to use, if you can get past the somewhat goofy couple that demonstrate step-by-step how to use the various test patterns (which is optional, after you learn how to use them on your own, you can skip right to the test patterns themselves), etc. Otherwise, give it a shot. :) http://shop.soundandvisionmag.com/ -Murray |
