That being Season 6: Part 2 of The Sopranos of course. Everyone will get it dying to hear an audio commentary track from David Chase on the final episode, and if it's on there, that alone will probably make this set a huge seller, so people can have their explanation of the final episode.

Note that I LOVED how the series ended, I'm just saying that a lot of people will really be interested in what he has to say I think.

Wow I was thinking that exact same thing a couple of hours ago, how there had better be a Chase commentary track for that final ep. I too loved the ending, genius how he built up the tension to a fever pitch and just cut to black.

Oh and I'm hoping for a super HD boxset with all seasons, I already own 1-5 on SD and season 6 on HD but i would definitely upgrade.

Could you imagine a complete HD DVD set of the entire series of The Sopranos? That would be awesome! Only problem, you would probably have to take out a second mortgage to afford them. :)

I don't think Chase will or should explain the last episode. It was a brilliant way to end a great series, although it took me a day or two to realize it.

David Chase is on vacation in France right now, to avoid all questions on the last episode. I heard on the news that he did one interview where he said his intent was simply to entertain and he would not be explaining further what he intended with the last episode.

David Chase is kind of wierd. You could tell from his interviews, even those that are on the first season Sopranos DVD set, - that his plan for and take on the series would always be different from what people might want/expect/prefer.

Sopranos is funny because it succeeds by being anti-mainstream, yet it also fails for the same reason. People got hooked because they were shocked/intrigued by the bold idea then hated it when it didn't fall in line with the "mainstream" perception of what a mafia piece should be.

I agree with the public though. It's one thing to put a new spin on the "old" but beloved mafia genre, it's another to throw a lot of what's expected from a mafia show out the window to suddenly create some time of arthouse "Brokeback Mountain"-type amalgam.

He'd have to pay me to buy those last 9 eps on hd dvd or even DVD. I have every set on dvd but no way I am buying those last 9 eps. So useless.

Worst series finale I have ever seen and clearly in the alst couple seasons they just put out mediocre shows simply because they knew they could and people would watch.
