I finally got around to watching it last night after having it since release day and it froze up on me right around the 1h 16m mark. I thought maybe it was changing layers (forgetting I wasn't watching a DVD DL), but when it took longer than a second and I lost all control/functionality of the remote, I realized this was the dreaded combo freeze-up.

I thought 1.5 was supposed to fix all of that? Shortly afterwards, I updated my A2 to 1.6, but I was far too annoyed/pissed to try and finish the movie. I know it works fine in the 360 addon because my roommate watched it twice without a problem.

Sigh. I was so happy with my A2 and HD DVD in general up until this point because I thought my player and discs were bug free. Now...now I dunno anymore.

As far as I know 1.5 was not suppose to fix all that, however 1.6 addressed some playback issues. I'm thinking that it will play fine with 1.6.

It played fine for me with the original firmware (1.1?)

I watched this movie on my A2 with 1.6 - had a brief audio dropout via digital optical. Otherwise, ok.

I thought it sucked actually, disappointing from what I thought it could have been with the trailers, etc.

Although, I do find myself watching alot more movies for video transfer quality and sharpness in HD than ever before. Movies I wouldn't even watch otherwise.

Put it this way, now that I hear Hulk is Tier 0, or whatever it is now, I will watch in in HD. I saw the trailer of the way to big, computerized Hulk and said no thanks, I will pass.

But if it looks as good as everyone says, I have to see it at least once in HD.

Did you give it a try in your A2 with 1.6 yet?

Worked fine for me on my A2 with 1.6 firmware.
