Has anyone got Hustle & Flow or Black Snake Moan yet? If that is the case, please let a brother know how they are (codecs, extras etc.)?
There is only one review of Hustle & Flow, and thats from the crappy reviewers (sorry guys) on Digital Video Audio. As usual they don't mention codecs or extras and don't rate there reviews.

If anyone has any of the two, please let me know how they are!

Thats OK (usually Paramount are equal in quality between the formats), just let me know how the PQ/AQ and extras are when it arrives!
Will you do that? ;)

Well, I just ordered both of them. Lets hope that if I get some negative feedback on the titles, it is before they ship! ;)

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here or there but, from poster cutthechord's thread in highdefdigest's forums:
Just popped in Hustle and Flow. Thew film was shot on Super 16 and blown up to 35 mm. There's a lot of grain, which is exactly what it looked like in theaters. It looks really good, accurately representing the source material. Colors and detail are strong. Once again, there is grain throughout the whole film. It's always there in the background but that's what Super 16 looks like blown up so I can't complain. Compared to other titles, its probably a Tier 3 but, in my opinion, it looks excellent considering the source. If I was basing it solely on its own merit, I'd say its a Tier 1, but it does look like **** compared to many other titles so... Great film, BTW, for any who haven't seen it.
Just watched Black Snake Moan. One of the best looking transfers I've seen. This is easily Tier 1, if not reference, Tier 0, quality. Leaps off the screen. The colors and detail are really exceptional. Highly recommended. Black Snake Moan is a great movie. If you like Hustle & Flow, you'll like Craig Brewer's second film. If you're a music fan, particularly blues, you'll love the movie. If you're a Christina Ricci fan and want to see her naked, you'll love the movie. And if you want to see Samuel L. give one of the best performances of his career, you'll love the movie.
Note that these are from the HD DVD version but the encodes should be identical, or at least very similar. See the whole thread here. (http://forums.highdefdigest.com/showthread.php?t=9302)
someone is selling both in a BD lot on ebay, if anyone's interested.

Thank you very much for the info, Black Snake Moan sounds like a keeper. Hoping for a good review on Hustle & Flow soon, that probably won't ship until Monday night...
Good to hear about Hustle&Flow!
Any transfer that keeps true to the source is a 5/5 in my book.
...they can't all be shot for the "kids" Tier thread...

I'm still trying to figure out who doesn't want to see Christina Ricci naked.

expect Hustle & Flow to have overblown contrast and noticeable film grain. This is how it was theatrically, on DVD and on HD Cable.
