I'm trying to layout my speakers. In order to do this I need to know where my front row of seats will be relative to my back row of seats. I'm going to be using the Berkline 090 series chairs. Berkline recommends 42" between rows (from the front of the back chair to the back of the front chair). I'm wondering if anyone has used this distance between rows or can I use a smaller distance. What distance do you have between rows? Also, how thick is the back of the chair (from where you rest your head to the back edge of the chair)?

Thanks in advance.

I thought the Berkline 090 series was really popular and that someone would have a theater with two rows of them. Is there anyone who has this configuration? I really need the help.

My front row is curved (wedges) and my back row is straight. The center chairs are ~30 inches apart from the back of the front row head to the front of the back row seat. I will say that when back row is reclined, it's not possible to walk between the rows. However, I have "escapes" on both ends.

Thickness of the chair head is ~13 inches before head rests (very comfortably) in it.

I hope this helps you!

I have 3 090s that I have had for about 4 years and am replacing them (shipped and due next week) with 7 leather 45003's. These were recommended as superior by Roman. They are identical to the 090 but have more "pillow" which is better for reclined watching.

I have allowed 7 feet (back of front row to back of back row). Otherwise, reclined folks in the back row have to un-recline to allow other back row folks to pass. I had enough of that in the bad old days when I used to go to theaters!

I have two rows of three 90's and my riser is 6 feet deep. Front row is curved and back row is straight. When the CENTER chairs are reclined all the way the person in the front row can get a head full of stinky feet.... :) It's not a problem for the outside chairs since the front row is curved away from the riser about 10-12 inches. I wish I had room to go to 7 feet for the riser.
