Hi folks, need some help here.

Have an Intel MacMini with DVI-I connection. Have Sanyo Z5 projector. PJ has two HDMI ports and a VGA port.

I use the Mini for movie playback (ripped DVD's.)

I'm assuming I should stay digital and go from DVI>HDMI adapter>HDMI to the PJ.

Will this route be a better picture than DVI>VGA?

On the old PJ there was a DVI port but not so on the Z5.

Yes. Pick up a $10 dvi-hdmi cable from monoprice and you're good to go.

The full digital connection (DVI -> HDMI) would be my first choice. Be aware that some TVs have odd PC support on the HDMI ports. Vizio, for instance, supports a max resolution of 640 x 480 via HDMI but 1366 x 768 on the VGA port. So if you run into problems getting the computer to look right via HDMI, the VGA port will probably look nearly as good with fewer hassles.

righto, thanks.

The previous pj (Z2) handled it fine via DVI so I can't see any issue with the Z5.
