Frequently after I give an explanation about a technical topic in Audio/Video; OB will
comment "Thank you, Mr. Wizard".

I'm sorry to report that the real Mr. Wizard, Don Herbert; has died.

He was a true inspiration to many of the baby-boomers that are now scientists with
his TV programs, "Ask Mr. Wizard" and "Mr. Wizard's World"; that tought young children
the wonders of science.

Even I used to watch Mr.Wizard in the morning right before school started.

i was fascinated with the show...I remember when he did a demo on the coriolis effect (the earths spin causing water to spiral as it drains) he put a kid on a playground merry-go-round and spun it counter clockwise and then drained the bucket and it swirled the other way...I was hooked..I am a chemist now..who knows...But i loved the show!
