Need a competent installer in the Houston area for:

- setup new plasma, 5.1 system, and all components
- calibrate plasma
- calibrate audio
- advise on acoustic treatments for room

Any recommendations?

Yes, I saw the list. One of those doesn't service my area and the other I've already talked to. It's hard to believe that only 2 installers are listed for the fourth largest city in the USA.

I can't imagine that lists gets update much. Most of the traffic in this forum is for DIY'rs. So I'm sure there are more pro installers. But because the folks here don't use them, there are many referrals.

My Dad had a plasma & sound system installed by a firm called all star video, & I would recommend them. They installed a 50" Pioneer along with a 6.1 surround sound system, & they were very friendly & helpful to all & any questions.

They were based on the corner of the Katy freeway & Town & Country shops, near the taste of texas restaurant.

They have a website but I've haven't done enough posts to be able to add the link. Goggle allstarav you should find it.

Now I believe they are moving premises due to the expansion of the I10. I cant remember any more details at present as I'm currently living in the UK, & came across these guys while I was on holiday in houston. They were friendly & patient especially when explaining to my Dad the benefits of having a system set up.
