I was at Costco and I saw an upconverting Sony NS71HP player. How is this model different from the NS75H model that everyone here talks about.

I was at Costco and I saw an upconverting Sony NS71HP player. How is this model different from the NS75H model that everyone here talks about.

Other than some cosmetic diffs on the front panel (and that the 71 comes with an HDMI cable), the 2 are internally and rear panel identical.

The NS71HP is simply a "Costco-exclusive" version of the widely available NS75H. The diff in model number helps other Sony retailers avoid price matching with Costco, esp since the 75H does not include the cable.


Or so I'm told. ;)
