Could a new lamp in my HD1 somewhat reduce the shading errors? Or is it a panel/software issue only?

It's primarily caused by deviations in the thickness of the liquid crystal layer but the alignment of the lamp can also play a role. The xenon bulbs in the old G series JVCs were notorious as far as accentuating shading errors if the alignment was off. The UHP bulbs seem to be a lot less troublesome in this regard though. Even the projector orientation (inverted vs non-inverted) can play a role too. anbjornk 06-14-07, 03:51 AM It's primarily caused by deviations in the thickness of the liquid crystal layer but the alignment of the lamp can also play a role. I guess special tools are required. The shading errors remain the same when changing orientation on my HD1. I don't know if this is normal, or if it's different from unit to unit. anbjornk 06-18-07, 05:28 AM More opinions? |
