Hi, all. I'm hoping someone out there can help.

We purchased the Oppo DV-970HD back in January. We have loved it--All has worked fine until today.

The oppo is connected to a Mitsubishi HD1000 projector (also new) via the HDMI ports on both machines. It has been connected this way and working just great until suddenly today. Today, while the Mitsu picks up a signal from the player, there is nothing displayed but static. Sound is fine.

I connected the player to the projector via yet another HDMI cable (new), but the same occurs.

I connected the player to the projector via S-ports on both machines, and the display is fine.

Clearly there is something wrong with the HDMI port--I assume on the player since the projector seems to pick up a signal with no problem? We had some bad storms here today, and I am wondering if something screwed up the oppo. Or is there some button I should be pushing? Suggestions?

Turns out I was in need of repair for my player, and even though the player was no longer under warranty, Oppo took care of everything free of charge--from sending me prepared fedex shipping labels, to keeping me up to date on the whereabouts of my player, to repairing the player in LESS THAN A DAY, and to returning to me ASAP. In addition to the repair, OPPO also updated my firmware and sent me information on how to contact them directly with any questions or other problems.

I am completely satisfied with my service experience. Oppo is a great company. I wanted to share this experience with this board.
