Has anyone else experienced problems with the extras on Layer Cake using PS3?

I tried to watch the deleted scenes: my TV was showing "no input" while the receiver was able to play the audio track. When I exited back to the menu, the video was back. Why wasn't the PS3 outputting any video?

Sorry if this has been covered before. I did a thread search and didn't see anything.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I just went throught the deleted scenes and had no problems running Layer Cake using a PS3 with current firmware. Have you upgraded to the latest firmware?

This may be an issue with the PS3 trying to output 24Hz when you play the extras. Most tv's don't support this yet, the PS3 turns it on by default after FW 1.8. Check your settings and make sure 24Hz mode is set to off or disable (I forget what the option is). I think its under BD settings.

AH. Thanks Patsfan...bingo. No problemo. :D A post like that should be a sticky because this has happened to many people including myself. I am surprised that you could see the menu, because the screen would blank out immediately after I put the disc in.

Huh, the issue was with 24hz not HDCP... HDMI requires HDCP...
