Im attempting to connect a JVC 40000 DVHS deck to my PC via Firewire...it installs a couple of drivers automatically, but gets stuck on AV/C Tuner (as well as AV/C Tape Recorder/Player and SM Bus Controller). CapDVHS cannot find my deck. Ive tried doing a search for drivers, but no luck...what do I need to do?

Ignore the AV/C Tuner. That driver is not needed for operation.
You only need to confirm that you have a 'AV/C Tape' or 'JVC Tape' device installed in device manager. You also need to be running Windows XP SP2 with all latest updates installed.

There is no separate driver for JVC decks, its part of Windows built in drivers.

I tried to use the default, but Windows cant find it. Ive inserted the Windows CD to make sure it wasnt on the CD only, no go. Ive googled for this several times, but I guess if something comes with Windows, there isnt much need for someone to put it up on the net is there?
