Does anyone have any opinion on it? My local JC Penny has them on sale for $60. It cools using the thermo-electric method but here's what may make it better than the other thermo models: You pour your beverage into the removable keg and stick the keg in a fridge (longer) or freezer (shorter). When it's cold, you stick the keg in the machine and it maintains the cool temp.
At first, we didn't want to introduce a drink dispenser of any kind in our HT's snack bar but this one looks to be just the right size. More of a novelty than anything else but was just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

I got a 404 on the link too so I posted the image instead.
I think you need one of these...

I've seen that item at my local JCPenny's too and I have to admit to being pretty intrigued as well. Seems like if I remember correctly, it also accepts "mini kegs" (the kind that Heinekin and Warsteiner come in) which would be preferable to me. I don't really like the idea of pouring beer into a container and then dispensing it with this thing. Seems like you'd lose some of the fizz going that route, but I could be wrong there.

P.S. I thought I'd save y'all the conversion...5 liters (the keg size here) equates to roughly 169 ounces, or 14 regular sized beers. So, this thing could replace the 12 pack you might normally drink, plus a few "emergency" spares. :D

We bought the Nostalgia Slush Ease - not been impressed with quality nor how it dispenses. Very rarely used.
Think something like this will very quickly fall into the nice idea but 'very rarely used' category

Yes, those types of slushee machines are horrible as nothing keeps them cold so they are bound to melt. The soda fountain on the other hand starts out very cold (you chill the keg before using) and then it maintains it or at least helps it maintain the temp a little longer. So far though, it appears that no one on this board has it.
I bought one of the can dispensor macjines. Doesn't get the cans cold enough. extremely noisy.
I don't use it for real, but display interesting commerative cans in it.
