Hi, i was upgrading my firmware for my Pioneer DV-588A and while it was updating the power went out, now the unit wont even turn on, is there anything i can do to get it working again??

My guess is that you are "**** out of luck". Losing power in the middle of a firmware upgrade is usually bad news. Especially since it won't even power up. Unless you are a "techie" and have access to getting the chip with the firmware on it, you will probably have to get it serviced.
