The room is 20' x 20', and has a minor vaulted ceiling. I can pretty much move everything around in the room.

other than tidying up the cables....that's probably how i would have it set up.

I would leave it as is. There's good flow from the kitchen to dining to living room. Only thing I'd suggest is perhaps a discreet window covering behind the television.

How large is the wall opening between the living and dining rooms, 8ft?
