Hey Guys,
I'm currently encoding the first DVD in collection via Handbrake. Now, I know this question has been asked numerous times but I can't seem to find it in the search thread. What's the big difference between Mpeg 4 and h.264? Is one better than the other or is it simply a matter of preference?
Also, in regards to bitrate and Anamorphic is 2k the all around number to shoot for when encoding? And, is anamorphic recommended for all encodings or only for movies that were not orignally Widescreen? Any input would be appreciated as I've just started my first HTPC project and am currently encoding over 200 dvds.
