Had the system flashed up for evaluation and to make any last minute construction tweaks. Will report later in detail as I am in total shock at the moment. 11ft screen, 14ft scoped with ISCO and sled. Sound was totally devastating. The demo that was laid on for me defies description. Still recovering.....

What did you think of the pj? Did you have any chance to calibrate it? What source did you use?

I have a Genelec 7.1 system. Which subs do you have? I run the HTS6, just one :)

I'll post full details tomorrow. The PJ was calibrated and sources were HDTV,Alienware laptop, 360, XA2 ( for HD and SD), PS3, Apple TV, HDV cam and a Sony DSC t100 camera.
Also of major note was the massive increase in surround immersion and rear localisation when moving from 5.1 modes to PLIIx on a 7.1 system when the room is 20ft wide. Report tomorrow
Antorsae......Subs are 2x HTS6s.'ve found the sound sytem to be on a different planet to any others i've had.

What is the case with the HT5000. Is it a single or a dual bulb projector. HT5000 has been spoken of in the news as capable of having two bulbs. Are there or is there going to be two versions of HT5000, not speaking of a e-suffix.
Great to hear that the performance is upto your expectations and beyond.

Which is the correct statement
1 You can order a single or dual bulb HT5000 and pay accordingly, that is more for a dual bulb projector.
2 I can use either one or two bulbs in any HT5000 projector
thanks in advance for clarifying

Guys,
I'm really sorry a family situation has cropped up. Will report and answer questions as soon as possible.
Coldmachine,
I don't want to be pushy, but I am looking forward to your review of your new theatre system, in particular the Genelec speakers as these are high on my list for my new theatre. Which models did you use for mains, surrounds and subs? What size room are you working with?
I am in the process of building a new house and have had a bunker specifically for a HT built under the house. The raw dimensions are 13m x 6.6m x 4.3m (42ft x 21ft x 14ft) however from this I need to construct a room-with-a-room and take some space from one end for the equipment/projection room. Finished size should be 10m x 6m x 4m (32x19x13ft) with a volume of approx 7000cubic ft. I was considering 1034's for LCR, 1037 or 1038 as surrounds and 2x 7073 for LFE. Really curious to hear your report.
Thanks.....
Graeme
