Hi all,

If this has been posted already and I missed it, my apologies!

Has anyone checked out the Splinter Cell: ConViction "trailer" that's up on XBL? I watched it a bunch of times last night, if was posted online before, I totally missed it.

I'm really looking forward to the game. The graphics look amazing, the crowds well built, the stage/set complex. A lot of huge stuttering through the video, but I'm sure this is such an early build that the framerate will be corrected.

Any comments?

Hrmmm... regarding the new social stealth thing... I think Assassin's Creed seems to be doing it in a much cooler way. I am not excited about this game but will watch it as I do like the SC series to some degree.

Man they already spit out another SC game?? I've bought everyone one but unless it gets great reviews I'll just rent it.. The multiplayer for me has been getting really buggy and laggy for the past few SC games..

your the 1st, I'm shocked...

for the video though, it says "actual game footage" which is good so far. yet the fighting has yet to be discussed. If the controls are solid it should be good.

I haven't watched the vid yet on xbl but there is a vid somewhere on the net showing the game off. With commertary. It was from the ubi gamers day event a few weeks ago. Nevermind i found it. Here it is if you haven't seen it.

they're going to kill this franchise by putting out a game every 6 months..this is insane

It's done by 2 different teams. This ione is being done by the same team that did chaos theory.

More games usualy equals good, but I agree, if you put out a game every 6 months I just feel like the franchise will eventually get watered down. You want people to get hungry for the franchise in between games. I'm not even sure if I'm ready to play another Splinter Cell yet.

The last SC game was thrown together because they were already working on this new one.

I could play a SC game every year. I love the series.

I don't like the direction it's taking. I hate the thought of hand to hand combat. There is nothing stealthy of taking on police officers fist to fist. I'm hoping that it is good...but so far I'm very weary. It looks pretty bad so far.

It's the same team that did Double Agent on Xbox, PS2, and Wii.

Word was they pretty much scrapped the original plans and did major overhauls. Will not be out before April 09.

Funny, I was wondering the same thing yesterday. Figured they'd just canned it or something.

I also thinking about this last night was going to do google search or make a thread. I can't find on XBL.

Thanks. That's a bummer, but I suppose not much of a surprise. Although the initial gameplay trailer looked really interesting, I recall wondering how it'd successfully work.

I wonder if they'll go back to stealth in the dark? I know it was used a lot in the other games, but I hadn't had enough of it. I'd love to see a full game co-op mode complete with using your teammate to distract and other good stuff.

I read the press releases on this game in the mags, and have been highly anticipating it since. SC: DA is a good game, as was Pandora Tomorrow. Conviction really has my interest peaked.
