Don't have $600-800 to spend for hd/blu ray players with HQV chips in it. Is there any players under 200 thats going to use this interlacer this year??

No, it's unlikely that will happen this year for a new player. Keep your eyes peeled for a used Denon 2930. Don't expect to find one for $200 - $400-500 if you are lucky. For a $200 player, the BOM cost is well below $100. larry Goatse 06-16-07, 02:05 AM I went though a few players with Faroudja chipset players and currently own the samsung 960. This player is the best dvd player i've owned and makes good transfers look great, however it makes awful transfers look terrible. End of "Alpha dog" the night scene before the killing the banding and macroblocking was everywhere. Do you know if Faroudja is working on a new interlacer with out the macroblocking?? |
