A friend of mine is moving to a house in Monterey Mexico and is taking his home theater passion and equipment with him. We're looking for a designer/installer in Monterey who can handle the design and retrofit of an existing room, as well as the installation and calibration of a LCD front projector system and a multichannel audio system. There is also a good chance to buy 2 rows of HT seating and upgrade to a new audio system.

So far our searches have only led to one CEDIA certified firm in Monterey, however I'm sure there has to be other qualified personnel in the area. If anyone has any ideas o resources to find someone who could help, please let me know ASAP.

Thank you.

Actually the CEDIA website lists quite a few companies that do match the criteria.
2 are located or have offices in Monterrey, Multisistemas BVC Sa de Cv dba Multimedia and Pax Theaters.

I was wondering if anyone had any additional info on either one of these companies.

Thank you.

There are CEDIA members in Mexico. There are CEDIA Certified Designers (a designation for system and automation designers) in Mexico. There are no CEDIA Certified Home Theater Designers in Mexico. So, if that's what you're looking for, you'll need to seek out a firm in Southern CA. If that's not what you're seeking then I'd suggest you interview both firms and select the one which best suits your needs.
