Hey,
I currently have and Athena AS-P300 sub that I bought when I got my Athena speakers two years ago. I have two AS-F2s two AS-B1s two AS-R1s and an AS-C1 as the centre. I don't know if it makes much of a difference, but I have a Harmon Kardon AVS240 for my receiver.
I find that when I'm using the speakers the base seems way too low. It is a small sub, and I guess I am in a very small room (11x10) but I plan on moving out (student living at home) and want to have a bigger sub for when that happens.
I have a budget of around $450 Canadian, which isn't that much, but again, I'm a student. I was looking at the Velodyne DPS-12 at Futureshop because I can get it for just under $400 cause I have a friend that works there. But, I'm wondering if since you guys most likely know more about subs than I do, maybe you could steer me in the right direction.
Thanks
Andrew
