I'm very much interested in backlighting my plasma. My plasma is on a stand which is up against the wall. I have no problem finding the fluorescent lamps. Finding a compatible fixture is what I'm a little confused about. Can you guys provide me with a good lamp + fixture combo that would be effective for my 58" plasma? Please be specific if you can about the products. I would appreciate any help.

I appreciate the link, but I don't feel its necessary to spend that much money on back lighting. Others have spent as little as $15 and have noticed a big difference in their picture quality. I'm willing to spend more, but I would just like to here specific examples...compatible product numbers for the fixture and the lamp would really help.

I got mine at Lowes. It was a green ended fluorescent bulb that I put behind my CRT. If you look at HD or Lowes you will see their fluorescent displays. Worked great for us.

If you have light fixtures, lamps, etc that you would like to use for your bias light, then you can go to a higher-end store that specializes in lighting and purchse bulbs that are the correct, color etc, as opposed to buying something that does not truly function as a bias light from a general hardware store
