I know at least several people on this forum have had problems with the Athena 4000 sub dying and not producing any sound. Have there been any problems with the newer 4100 model? As far as I can tell the only changes appear to be external. Does anyone have any more information? Thanks.

I have had the 4000 for a year and its great, I think people were reporting problems with the larger 6000 :)

I've had the 4000 for a year and 3 months -- and sadly, the amp just died. So, I'm out of warranty. Had I just purchased it with my Amex card, I would have been covered! Oh well. Time for another.
I'm not sure about the quality on the newer models, such as 4100.
