Ok here is the story. I built my ht in my garage. Rather then float the floor we decided to build a riser on the floor which is about 6 inches higher on one side of the room then the other. We then had a soffet built. The builder built the soffet so that it was level to the eye, which means that it is higher on one side then the other. No problem until you drop the screen out of it, which then shows that its off as the screen is level. We can raise the screen on one side to make all look level to the eye, but in order to not have the picture projecting about 4-6 inches off I would need to tilt the projector by about a half inch or so... can I do this without affecting the picture quality?
Hi Jim,
You can tilt the RS-1 and it will not make difference (assuming your yaw and pitch are correct). I actually tried this and it does not (and logically should not) affect the image.

Mount your screen "perfectly level" and tilt your projector until it makes a perfectly square image on the screen. If you are using a Chief brand mount, this is quite easy. Just loosen the two "outside" screws on both the front and back of the mount and adjust it until you have it right. When recently switching to the RS-1 from a Sanyo PLV-70, I found that I had to tilt the front of the projector "down" in order to get a truly "flat" horizontal image on my screen...

You will easily see a focus issue on two of the corners if it's not square. That should tell you if it's correct or not. Then, just adjust it until it's perfect.
