I'm selling my home and losing my HT due to an upcoming divorce. I have already purchased a replacement FP for my new digs and was wondering what mounts (ceiling, ext. capable) everyone is using. My old 12k was mounted with using a Peerless which was OK but wouldn't be my first choice.

Many thanks!

The 'Chief' brand mounts are popular and they make a nice adjustable model that you can use with your next projector! AVS sells them at great prices too. ;)

I have always stuck w/ Peerless as my #1 choice. Their product is above my expectations and their customer support is as well. Not sure why you do not feel the same, but they have my business.

I had to replace a few old projectors w/ new ones and was able to buy a 30 dollar adapter and it worked w/ my existing mounts. I didn't even need a new MOUNT! I bet you will find the same is true with yours.

The Sharp 12K is a relatively long-throw projector and needs to be mounted within the vertical height of the screen. As such, it can even be mounted on a shelf at the back of the room, unless the room is like a bowling alley. I think the Sharp will fill a 100" diagonal screen from up to about 17 feet from the lens. The big advantage of the shelf-mount is ease of wiring if you aren't building the room from scratch.
