I would like to run audio and video cables, and speaker wires, down through the floor, and through the foundation crawl space beneath our living room. No AC wiring will be down there. We're in Carson City, NV, where the temperature can drop to 0 degrees F., and climb to 100 in the summer (though I wouldn't think the heat would be that much of a problem under the house). The foundation vents are open, but the perimeter wall has thick fiberglass batting all around. Are there any durability issues, or for that matter, safety issues, with running this wiring under the house? Would it make a difference if the cables were enclosed, say, in PVC pipe?
Thanks,
Jeff
