There's probably not too many others that will be watching LDs on an RS1 (or HD1 Japanese model as far as my plans are concerned). But I still watch them sometimes, usually for anime that doesn't have a release with good PQ, so I at least get the LD LPCM instead of DD.

Anyways, I didn't see anything in the manual about a comb filter, so I was curious if it had one. Well, I figure the internal Gennum has one, so I suppose a better question would be if the RS1 has it enabled. Hopefully at least for the composite input.

Well, I finally figured out how to get to Victor Japan's contact form. I tried looking before I posted this question but only found general FAQs, and none for the RS1.

After sending my question in Japanese, I get a response in a few hours. Yes, it does have a comb filter. I figured something like that would be standard but I wanted to make sure.

Man, customer service rules in this country.
