Waters is inlisting the use of an HD production truck from the CBC to record his live show in Vancouver on June 21 in high def.

Waters is currently on the second half of a world tour that spans almost two years. The entire second half of the show includes Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album in its entirety.

I saw Roger Waters once. It was great for a Pink Floyd fan.

My PBS affiliate keeps playing a Pink Floyd concert on one of its SD channels. I sure wish they'd show it on their HD one day.

Best concert I ever saw was Roger Waters on his tour for "Radio KAOS." Phenomenal!

Saw him last year during his tour. Was pretty nice. I'm definetly looking forward to a recording of the tour, be it on dvd or HD.

His last concert DVD "In the Flesh Live", has a note on it somewhere that says it too was filmed with HD cameras.

Its actually one of the better sounding and looking concert DVD's that I own, and its usually available on the cheap.

Would make an excellent HD DVD or Blue Ray!

I believe the intent would be to release the recording on an HD format DVD, blu ray or hd dvd, and regular DVD.

details are just beginning to come out. I'll post more when I hear more. BTW....I saw the Atlanta show a month ago and I can say that the last In the Flesh tour is childs play compared to the current show. It absolutely requires a high def release. To be certain, the quality will be superb....Waters is a stickler for top notch audio quality.

Was lucky to catch the show when it came through NY. Ironically then saw the Gilmour version some years back from Australia. Waters was right. He does get the sound right and consistently so.

But I really don't care about the drugged out folks from back then telling Americans how they should think and act politically speaking. Besides that, how ironic is it that he's charging $170 for a ticket that is average at best in an arena? Money indeed!

So take your pig and shove it Roger. (For those who saw the show, he neglects to recognize that in Lebanon there are Christians native there too. But that's probably Waters too.)

Should make for an excellent HD recording.

Well, as one of the more senior members at this forum (it ain't the age, it's the mileage), I saw Pink Floyd's original North American tours for Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you Were Here, and the Wall (IIRC, original tour for The Wall was only 5 shows on each coast). I used to go to a lot of concerts back then, and also ushered at the Boston Music Hall for minimum wage to see the shows free.

One time, a few years ago, someone asked me what was the best rock group I had ever seen live. Plenty of them came to mind, but it only took a few seconds to name Pink Floyd, who not only put on an incredible musical performance, but coupled it with some of the most interesting visuals of any touring band around.

I just saw the show in Las Vegas at The MGM Grand Garden Arena. AMAZING SHOW!! I absolutely loved the concept featuring the radio on the huge HD screen.

I have to say that I have never seen a screen that big with as much brightness, clarity and detail as the one Roger used for the entire backdrop of the stage. I would love to know the technical details of that.

Wow what a show! Maybe the best concert I've ever seen. There was at least four Hi-def cameras filming the show, so this would look and sound incredible on HD-DVD/BD disc.
