Sorry wrong group - moved to Projectors below $3000

I was lucky to get one of these units at the sale price last year. I have been enjoying it since the picture was great and the projector had no wheel noise.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem? A black band has apeared across the screen about 1/5 the height of the screen. It looks like a DLP failure. Changing the inputs has no impact. Looks like I will get to see how good Optoma is on warranty service.
