Anyone have this upconversion from Costcos website for 69.99??

I just bought my first HDTV LCD and looking for upconversion dvd player for it (low to medium budget).

Any personal reviews on this player?

Yeah it's not bad. I notice an improvement. I'm using it with a Toshiba LCD and I find that 720p seems to be the best setting. Having now got a taster of how DVDs can be improved through upscaling, I'm now tempted to shell out a bit more and get a Denon or Oppo.

There is a coupon on this thing coming up that knock either 10 or 20 bucks off the price, I am thinking of getting one until cheaper hd dvd player arrive.

I was wrong the coupon is for 15 bucks off of a philips bringing its price to 65 bucks.

I just bought one today. What sold me was the fact that it came with an HDMI cable (one less thing for me to track down). I have nothing to compare it to, this is my 1st DVD player on my new 65" Mits.

It played Reno 911 at 720p; I dont know if I have the option to try 1080i with this title.
