Which of these two subs should i get? I will be using it just for music. The JBL Venue Series Sub-12 or the Klipsch Synergy Sub-12?

What kind of music? Vinyl Disc, Dolby, DTS, a regular CD, mp3 player, 8 tracks ?

jazz, rap, classical, rock, etc?

How big's your room? What other speakers do you have?

What is your budget for the sub, and is there any particular reason you have chosen to pick from those 2 subs?

its for rock and rap. i have my ipod hooked up to my receiver. the room is like 15 by 12. and i have 2 fronts, center, and 2 surround sony ss series speakers due to my 16 year old low budget. wutever the speakers sound good just want a sub that hits hard, cheap and without a lot of distortion. i'm choosing between those two because they are in my price range and my brother works at bestbuy where he can pick it up. also these seem to be the two best that best buy offers

Well, for big, sloppy, abusive bass, low cost JBL subs are the way to go. Love their other speaks, but their subs are not exactly graceful.

That being said, check out amazon. 12 inch for $175 and 10 for $140.
